Autism Support and Training

Anderson, SC: Regular support group meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 5:30 pm at Boulevard Baptist Church.   For more information call Deanna Dickson at (864) 338-3072.

Greenville, SC: Support group, sponsored by Family Connection of S.C., meets the 4th Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm at CDS.  For more information, call (864) 331-1340 or email Kristy.Hunsinger@cdservices.org.

Down Syndrome Family Alliance

A support group for families affected by Down Syndrome will meet at CDS on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.  For more information call (864) 282-0167 or visit www.dsfag.org .

Family Connection Support Groups and Events

ADD/ADHD Support Group:  Meets the 2nd Monday of each month at CDS at 6:30pm for families affected by ADD/ADHD. Call Family Connection at (864)331-1340 for more information.

Air Buddies Asthma Support Group/Greenville: Meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at CDS from 6:30 to 8:30 pm for families affected by Asthma.  Pizza is served and child care is available.   Please call Family Connection at (864) 331-1340 to RSVP or for more information.

Asthma Support Group/Anderson: Meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 10:30 am at the AnMed Resource Center in the Anderson Mall.  Call Sherry Fields at (864) 231-8100 for more information.

Children Are Special: Meets the 4th Thursday of each month at 10:00 am and the 1st Friday of each month at the AnMed Resource Center in the Anderson Mall.  Call Sherry Fields at (864) 231-8100 for more information.

Congenital Heart Defect Support Group: Meets the 1st Tuesday of each month at CDS at 6:30pm for families affected by congenital heart defects. Call Family Connection at (864)331-1340 for more information.

Cystic Fibrosis Support Group: Meets 1st Thursday of each month at CDS at 6:30pm for families affected by cystic fibrosis. Please call Family Connection at (864)331-1340 for more information.

Father's Network:  For fathers of children with special health care needs and developmental delays.  Meets on the 3rd Monday of each month at CDS from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.  Dinner is provided.  For more information, call (864) 331-1340 or email Kristy.Hunsinger@cdservices.org.

Feeding Issues Support Group: Meets 1st Monday of each month at CDS at 6:30pm for families dealing with feeding issues. Please call Family Connection at (864)331-1340 for more information.

H.O.P.E. (Hands on Preemie Experience): Meets every Thursday at 6:30 pm in the NICU Conference Room, 3rd floor at Greenville Memorial Hospital for parents of children currently in the NICU.  On the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm, graduate parents meet in the Toomey Conference Room #5, 1st floor at Greenville Memorial Hospital.  For more information call (864) 331-1340.

Parents Empowering Parents/Greenville This new support group for parents of special children meets the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month at 1:00 pm in the CDS conference room.  To RSVP or for information, call (864) 331-1340 or email Kristy.Hunsinger@cdservices.org.

Parents Helping Parents/Spartanburg This support group for families of children with special needs in the Spartanburg area meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:30 pm at First Presbyterian Church.  Childcare is usually available.  Call (864) 560-1476 for more information or if childcare is needed.

Pizza Night/Greenville This support group for parents of children with special healthcare needs meets on the 3rd Monday of each month at 6:30 pm.  Childcare is provided.  To RSVP or for information, call (864) 331-1340 or email Kristy.Hunsinger@cdservices.org.

Pro-Parents Workshops

Parents Reaching Out to Parents (Pro-Parents) of South Carolina, Inc., is a private, non-profit organization that provides information and training about education to families of children with all types of disabilities.
