Clarity

Formerly the Speech, Hearing and Learning Center, Clarityhas been providing evaluation and treatment to children and adults with speech, language, hearing, auditory processing, learning/academic and other developmental concerns for over 60 years.

Clarity’s Services include:

• Speech and language evaluation and therapy, including services for hearing impairment, stuttering, and the SpeechEasy® Fluency device.

• Audiology services including hearing evaluations, central auditory processing evaluation and service hearing aids for infants, children, and adults.

• Psychology/learning services including assessment, diagnosis, and consultation for individuals with suspected ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, giftedness, or learning disabilities; school readiness/developmental assessment for preschool age children.

• Occupational Therapy services, including therapy and evaluation of children for fine motor/handwriting problems, feeding disorders balance, sensory integration and sensory processing, and other developmental challenges. Co-treatment with speech therapy is available.

• The agency also hosts the Facial Anomalies and Clefting Evaluation Team (FACET) Clinic at CDS for children with cleft lip or palate.

Eligibility: No restrictions; sees adults and kids.

Cost: Variable; private insurance and Medicaid are accepted for some services; a sliding fee scale and scholarships are available.
