Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics
Physicians and Nurse Practitioners perform medical and developmental evaluations. Psychologists conduct psychological, neuropsychological, and educational tests and consult with parents and professionals to develop effective management plans. An early childhood evaluation program that includes social work support monitors the development of children who have graduated from the neonatal intensive care unit or have other developmental concerns. The CARE (Carolina Autism Resource and Evaluation) Team evaluates and treats children with autism.
There are no eligibility restrictions for children ages birth to eighteen. The cost is variable; private insurance and Medicaid are accepted.
